Arrival in Arusha and Tarangire National Park — Touch down in Arusha, meet your guide, and head straight to Tarangire for your first game drive. This gem of a park is famous for its enormous elephant herds and iconic baobab trees.

- January to February: Calving season in the southern Serengeti, excellent predator activity, fewer crowds, and lower prices.
- November to December: Green landscapes, fewer tourists, and the herds beginning their southward journey.
